Chicago Air and Water Show!

Last weekend we went to the Chicago air and water show. It also happened to be the hottest and most humid weekend of the summer! Despite the heat we had a great time. The Navy's Blue Angels were particularly amazing, just as I remember from when I was little. The loud noises from the Jets kept scaring Mya but she still thought the airplanes were neat. It was cool seeing them come in over the city (over the sky scrapers) and then fly their routines over Lake Michigan! Afterwards talking with Mya she told me the "airplane noise scared" then tilted her head nodding as if to say BUT "airplanes cool".
Parachuter from one of the planes. It made me think of my brother Taylor who is starting paratrooper training soon in the Army. Go Army!
Mya & Andee (we went with our friends the Matthews) Mya loved following Andee around since her being 6 months older made Andee a big kid!
Dustin & Me (I was so tired, I had gotten up early to run in a fundraiser 5K for a little girl in our ward who is going through chemo.... We love you Ashton!)
Mya & Mommy
The Blue Angels
The kiddos getting some yummy turkey leg from Dustin. I LOVE food from events like this. We also got some roasted corn!
The Blue Angels, wow their formations were so tight. By far better than any other group!
